Okay, that is not true. I will always be your BFF, forever and ever. But if you are hanging with me or riding around with my in my new Jeep, you'll be listening to Songs for Silverman so you might as well get used to the idea.
When I bought the album, the only song I knew was "Landed," which has been getting some airplay on my local college station, and while I still like the song a lot, "Jesusland" has lept past it as my favorite song on the CD and the one I listen to the most. That song is like a road trip in my mind. It reminds me of Farmland. It reminds me of home, a place I love and miss even though its a little, well, different than me.
"... billboards quoting things you'd never say / you hang your head and pray / for Jesusland ..."
Go listen. I don't think you'll regret it.
