My office at work is basically just a not-so-large room that I share with two other people. Our desks are basically stuck into three corners of the room and our two windows face a brick wall. It's not a great space, but it's all we've got. I get along just fine with my office-mates (one of whom is
Tits McGee who has seen me drunk off my ass) and they seem to like me just fine as well. But today they both had the day off, and I spent the day tucked into the corner with my iPod. A couple other coworkers wandered in and asked if I was lonely with all the quiet, but really, I was fine. Got some work done, read some blogs, enjoyed my McNuggets without worrying that the smell would attract chicken thieves. I listened to the
Garden State soundtrack, Radiohead's
Kid A, The Smiths'
Greatest Hits, Radiohead's
Ok Computer (I like to listen to lots of Radiohead on gray, rainy days, especially at work, because I cultivate a brooding persona) and the Thievery Corporation's
Sounds from the Thievery Corporation. As James Lipton from
Inside the Actor's Studio might say, "It was a delight!"
On deck for tomorrow: R.E.M.'s Out of Time, Melissa Etheridge's Lucky, Crowded House's Crowded House and PJ Harvey's Uh Huh Her. I'm almost looking forward to going to work! (Except for the "going to work" part.)
