An old college friend of mine got married a few months ago (eloped to Canada) and is having a reception this weekend. I got the invitation a while back and noticed the "Roaring 20s" theme. I wondered if that meant "20s dress" but figured if that was the case, the invite would have said so. Yes, I am that stupid, because of course I found out yesterday afternoon, that indeed, 20s dress is requested. Luckily, I bought a new suit a while back that is pinstriped. I spent way too long last night going to nine different stores to find a black fedora. I plan to wear the suit and hat with a low-cut purple shirt and a black lacy bra and tell everyone that I am the Sexy Lesbian Mafia. (Oh, the google hits I should get from that one!) That should either get me some attention from the ladies or some hysterical laughter.
