1. Sirius Satellite Radio. I haven't listened to regular radio at all since I got the Sirius installed and I don't miss it one bit. No more commercials for Matress Discounters or Empire Carpet, that's for damn sure. And the 12-year-old inside me takes great delight in the fact that Sirius can play the unedited versions of songs and that the DJ's can say "motherfucker."
2. Project Runway. I didn't watch season one and I regret it greatly, but I am loving this season. Because I am an old woman I can't stay up late enough to watch it on Wednesday, so I record it and live in fear all day Thursday that I will accidently find out who was in and who was out.
3. The Aimee Mann song "Video." The Twiz and I took a road trip this past weekend to see Aimee Mann live and oh was she awesome. Awesome! Definitely worth the driving in a blizzard. (Also worth the scary drive over the Bay Bridge which Twiz did while I looked down at the Texas Hold 'Em game on my phone because I am an extreme pussy when it comes to heights.) But anyway, this is my new favorite song, and I've been listening to it over and over again, both on my iPod and in my head. Makes me wish I could sing.
4. Chocolate milk. Do I need a reason why?
5. The Office. For some reason at first I was reluctant to watch this show ... maybe because I generally think sitcoms suck, but I am so glad I finally gave it a try because it is so funny. I also am enough of a dork to get excited over the fact that many of the actors have My Space pages and that I could create a My Space page and be their "friend" and they could be my "friend" too. (Shut up! They are too my friends.) I completely forgot that it wouldn't be on this week because of the Olympics until 9:29pm when I sat down to watch. Goddammit.
Oh boy do I love all of the above. (This, of course, is in addition to the things I have had long term relationships with, such as diet coke and my iPod.) I've been feeling some stress this week mostly for reasons alluded to my last entry, which I am too lazy to link too) and any of the above or any combination of the above, have been great in calming me down or at least providing some distraction.
That's what's floating around in my head these days. Go check them out, except for the Aimee Mann song, because I am selfish and want to keep that one all to myself.
