I called in sick to work on Monday, but do not worry my little chickadees, I was not sick. I just believe so strongly in President's Day and thought it was totally unfair that I did not get the day off, so I created my own holiday. Suck on that! And besides, I needed to stay home because Mr. Cable Installation Guy was coming to install my new DVR system (a.k.a. poor-man's Tivo.)
Let me tell you a little bit about my DVR. I love it, and I won't sully that love by saying I want to make out with it or anything. My love for the DVR is pure. Today the DVR had a episode of Ellen, last night's episode of House and last night's episode of Queer Eye all waiting patiently for me. And it is still so easy to fast foward through the boring parts, like all the guests from Everybody Loves Raymond on Ellen or Jai's parts on Queer Eye. (And yes, I know that can be done with a regular old VCR but that is not digital my friend.)
(Still waiting for me: Monday night's episode of Super Nanny which I am saving because I think I'm developing a crush on the Nanny. She is totally hot and doesn't abandon me like those bitches on Nanny 911.)
Oh wow, that's a lot of talk about television. And here is more! On Monday while waiting for Mr. Cable Guy, I caught a few episodes of The Dog Whisperer. Awesome! Check it out.
What else, what else. Oh yes, as the title suggests, my car had an emissions test today and passed, but I knew it would because it studies hard and does all its homework and totally makes the dean's list every semester.
I also discovered this past weekend that I apparently have a natural affinity for Beer Pong, a game normally played by college students. I never played in college, but then again, I've always been a bit of a late bloomer.
Well it's time to go play Grand Theft Auto. Later, gators!
