I was watching the news earlier and they were interviewing people who are all worried about the "remnants" of Hurricane Frances. I believe those remnants will consist of, um, RAIN, and while rain can be annoying, it's not like what all those people in Florida are dealing with, namely the loss of every freakin' thing they own. I think I can deal with a little rain. Besides, it's not even a hurricane (or a beast which is what the news guy called it) anymore. I believe it is officially a tropical depression which means that it's just going to lie on the couch watching Law and Order and eating ice cream. Just tell it that it doesn't look fat in those pants, and everything will be fine. Really.

Today was a good day, because today, while stuck in traffic on my way home, I won R.E.M. tickets! Why did I win R.E.M. tickets? Because I dial fast and because I knew that Shrek 2 was the #1 movie of the summer. So, yes, essentially, I won tickets because I am a dork. Who dials fast. But really, I only dialed fast because this morning, while I was stuck in traffic on my way to work, I called the same radio station to try and win Melissa Etheridge tickets. I didn't win those, but the phone number was still on my cell phone. So, essentially, I won R.E.M. tickets because I am a dork AND a loser. Which made me a winner. My head hurts.
