The bands name? Under the Covers. Heh.
But the band would do a very specific type of cover songs -- songs like "If I Was Your Girlfriend" by N'Sync or "Candy Shop" by 50 Cent or "No Scrubs" by TLC. "99 Problems" by Jay-Z. "Blue Jean" by David Bowie. "Creep" by Radiohead. OOOH! OOOH! "Darling Nikki" by Prince. "Rico Suave", "Get Naked", "Low", "Naughty Girl", "Smack My Bitch Up", "Rock Your Body", and so on. You get the idea: songs either sung by men to (presumably) women or songs sun by women about men. There are a few exceptions ... I think a lesbian in the Melissa Etheridge-genre could do a rockin' cover of Madonna's "What it Feels Like for a Girl." Oh yeah. Sometimes when I get bored at work I think up other songs for my fictional band to fictionally cover at their fictional gigs.
There's probably already a band out there somewhere like this, so I doubt I am any sort of original thinker. But oh, if only I had some musical ability. It would be so much fun.
